another saturday gone by

yep, and my insomia kicked in again ... i find it quite difficult to sleep at this time of day (almost midnight) when it is supposed to be night yet it still is light. summer has truly arrived scandinavia.

despite occasional rains now and then, it still is convincingly summer - weather's at its finest. my son calls this phenomenon as "crazy weather" when he witnessed at one time that is it sunny at the northside of the house and it's raining at the back of the house .... he kept running back and forth the front door trying to understand why. afterwards he declared "my eyes are playing tricks on me!"

well, for a good many years now, swedish weather during summers had been that crazy. don't ask me why ... it's just that and only the weatherman can explain (and sometimes not).

in any case, my saturday had been uneventful ... i was plain and simple lazy. it's just another day i whiled away doing nothing special in particular. oh yes, i watched the devil wears prada twice, and master and commander once - sad, huh?

i might as well get to bed and try to sleep - i have to remember to draw the heavy drapes and envelope the room in darkness. thank goodness my son is not home - i'm sure he'd accuse me of "cheating" ... he's likely to say: "it's not night, mommy - it's still daytime" - oh, what the heck! Drapes down, lights out - goodnight!
