In memoriam ...

As the world mourn the death of Michael Jackson, we had our own Michael Jackson tribute at home. While I grew up listening to Michael Jackson's songs, my son was introduced to his songs last year as he learned and sang songs as Beat It, Bad and Billie Jean. Alexander also loved Michael Jackson's famous Moonwalk dance grooves - and is still trying to learn it.

After being told of Michael Jackson's death, his immediate reaction was to ask why and how. Going online, we went through YouTube posts of his great work of art in music, played songs dating back to his Jackson 5 days and watched his music videos for most of the day.

Sigh ... life is short. He's a great lost in the music industry and will be missed immensely. And here's one ironic observation:

Michael Jackson's selling over 50 million copies of his Thriller album just in time for Motown's 50th anniversary. He was due to give 50 concerts in London. He dies at age 50.

What an irony indeed!
