Alexander got all too excited this morning as he jumped on our bed to wake us up - at 8am! "Let's get ready for my swim class!", he shrieked. Half dazed I tried to organise my sleepy thoughts ... mind you I didn't get to bed until 4am this morning! I checked my watch, looked at my bedside calendar and then I slumped back to bed. "Your swim class starts next weekend, not today", I said sleepily. And then I heard a soft disappointed reply: "Oh."
This was how our morning started today. Not being able to really go back to sleep now, we all got up and had our early morning breakfast while Alexander was chattering about, apologising even for waking us up early on a Sunday. Sweet boy!
We didn't have anything special planned for today, so we thought we'd bundle up on the couch, all three of us, and watch an early Disney film ... my hubby and I slouched on each side of the couch and Alexander in the middle. My hubby reading his morning paper, me with a cup of tea on one hand and a magazine on the other, Alex with his head slouched on my lap staring on TV - what another perfect lazy family Sunday!
